Earth Day

It was a full and fun filled foyer on Earth Day at CCS. Here are some of the activities that were presented (Thanks Mr. Seymour for spearheading this event)
The Events:

-Grades 7-8 :Presentations on the National Parks will take place from periods 7-9 in the four corners of the building and the foyer outside the auditorium.

-Cornell Cooperative Extension will be setting up two booths in the foyer outside the high school gym during periods 7-9 on Wednesday as part of their commitment to Earth Day education in the area.

- The Concession stand will be open for all students and staff from periods 7-9 serving fruits and vegetables on demand for free(compliments of Science Club and Student Council).

- There will be a food tasting station in the foyer where students and staff can compare the taste of GMO and non-GMO products as well as a marketing taste test between common name brands and their less advertised competitors (a healthy version of the Pepsi Challenge).

-The movie Wall-E will be playing in its entirety in the auditorium from 1:20 - 2:00 for all interested students and staff.

-Mr. Walley has offered to take a few elementary classes for a trail walk in the morning on Wednesday if the weather is nice.  This will be on a first come, first served basis and interested elementary teachers should contact Gleason directly for this.
