Halloween Dance in September 2014

CCS - 2014 09 26 Dance 7

Twitter - maybe next dance I will tweet live instead of all these short updates. What do you think?

Slide Show problems - It appears that the slide shows do not show up on Android phones. If you are using the mobile version of our site, scroll down until you get to the links I created for the web albums. They are opening fine on my phone. I learn something new every day.

Dance Update 10 - Does "I Like Big Butts" by Sir Mix A Lot count as classic rock? Is there something called Classic Rap? If so - it is. DJ Sandvig played "Anaconda" but I think the original is still the best.
Check out the haunting pictures from Mrs. Trombley. There a few ghost like photos in this batch.

Dance Update 7 - A small batch of pictures from Mrs. Trombley. The kids look a bit drained from the warm gym but the ones dancing are having fun.

Dance Update 6 - OK - the intense fear of Halloween is known as: Samhainophobia.
If you do not know the song I mentioned before, here it is:

Dance Update 4 - Lon Cheney was the first Wolfman in the movies. I re-watched the original Frankenstein recently and it still holds up. Boris Karloff was amazing as the role of the monster. More pictures coming soon (we are a little short handed here tonight) Here is a tough trivia question for you: Which phobia means you have an intense fear of Halloween?

Update 2 - It is only a little after 8:00 right now and students are flocking into the gym for the big night. Camo seems like the costume choice for the night - there is quite a bit of it here tonight along with duck calls - or something like a duck call. It is driving a few of the guys crazy. Maybe they think they should be hunting rather than dancing. And since I have seen them dance I think they should be hunting as well.  Trivia question: Who was the first original Wolf Man?

CCCS - 2014 0926 Dance 1

Update 1 - It is the first dace of the 2014-2015 school year and this time the theme is Halloween. Some scary costumes have already started to arrive. Mrs. Trombley will be patrolling the gym with the camera, and perhaps a few guest photographers. DJ Sandvig is spinning the tunes tonight and the snack table is full and ready for the hungry mass of dancers about to arrive. Look some scary commentary tonight, but not too scary - some of you will have trouble sleeping at night.
There is not a contest for the best costume tonight but I am declaring a winner - look for Ben Watson as Sherlock. He kept the long coat on the whole night.

"Bang Bang" with Ariana Grande, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj is cranked right now. Not sure what is happening to me but I like song as well. Maybe it is too much channel 2 on my SiriusXm radio these days but some of these new songs are sticking in my brain.

Dance Update 9 - Another great Halloween themed tune for you:
"More cowbell!!!"

Dance Update 8 - Lots of selfies should be posted tonight. If you look closely at some of the pictures you will see students hanging out with their best friends - their phones. Odd - since many of their friends are standing in the same gym. Sign of the times. I guess. I think I am getting old. The phone cord would not have stretched all the way to a dance when I was a kid. Anyone else remember those wicked long phone cords? Yes boys and girls - phones had cords. Scary right? Question - when the original "Halloween" movie filmed?

Dance Update 5 - Hot - seriously - very warm. Right now DJ Sandvig is playing my new favorite song. I am not ashamed to admit that for some reason I really love "All About that Bass" by Meghan Trainer. Not kidding. I even have the CD. I played it all the way from Malone to the dance tonight and will play it all the way home. How is that for a bit of scary?

Another classic Halloween seasonal tune for you. Perhaps one of the best.

CCS - 2016 09 26 Dance 3

Dance Update 3 - It is frighteningly hot in the gym. The dancers are sweating buckets of sweat. (You thought I was going to say buckets of blood didn't you?)  A bucket of blood in a gym is indeed a scarrie thing. ((See what I did there? I added an S to Carrie. I do make myself laugh))
