**Please be warned that while this was a mock crash and the blood is not real - the images may be too graphic for some.**

On Wednesday, May 6, students at CCS were given a chance to see what happens in a car accident. Every few years some wonderful volunteer community members help stage a mock crash. Student volunteers are positioned in the damaged vehicles and made to look like they have been in a serious accident. Mrs. Green was was on hand to act as the commentator and explained the process of removing injured people from a wreck. The jars of life are used and many, many people are on hand to provide the best care possible. We cannot thank all the volunteers from area fire departments and the state police enough for taking time out of their busy lives for this demonstration. Thanks also to Mrs. Blair-Wilcox. Her participation reminded us all how a tragedy like this will affect us all. It is not just a message for prom season. It is also a message about distracted driving and a reminder to always be safe while driving. There are many people in the community who love and support you every day and they never want to face the reality of a devastating accident.
