Science Olympiad - The Next Generation

CCS - 2014 03 05 Science

The 7-9 Science Olympiad team placed second at the Adirondack Regional Science Olympiad Competition, earning them a spot at the State Competition.  The competition was held on March 2nd @ SUNY Potsdam.  All students received either gold, silver or bronze medals.  Students participated in a wide variety of events, which included building as well as tests of their knowledge and problem solving activities.  A few of the events were wheeled vehicle, rotor egg drop, boomilever, entomology and crime busters. The team was made up of ninth graders: Savannah Daoust, Karlee Martin, Lena Spence, Zach Taylor and Kyle Tower;  seventh graders: Chris Cook, Anna Dumas, Owen Dominic, Caroline Harrigan, Elara Martin & Jacob Reville.  Thank you also to Jeff Stemmer, Kara Taylor and Haylee Tower for coming to take pictures and help out.
