Redneck Christmas Dance 2013

Last Batch

posted Dec 13, 2013, 6:56 PM by Arlington Trombley   [ updated Dec 13, 2013, 6:56 PM ]

Really - how many pictures can handle anyway? I think just about everyone had their chance to shine tonight.
Thanks as always to the chaperones - Mr. Brown, Mr. Walrath, Mr. Seymour, Mrs. Gardiner and Mrs. Tourville along with the indispensable Mr. Goggins. Hopefully you liked the new format for the posts and the pictures. Let me know if you get a chance.
Have a wonderful holiday season.

Don't forget the Sing-Along on December 20 at 9:00 AM in the auditorium.

Dan to the rescue

posted Dec 13, 2013, 6:51 PM by Arlington Trombley   [ updated Dec 13, 2013, 6:51 PM ]

One of my favorite roving photographers grabbed a camera and added 80 pictures to the cause. Dan Sexton once again helped us out with taking great pictures. We are winding down here tonight. Many of the seniors have left and the gym is a little thin right now. Mrs. Trombley and I are heading home soon (it is past her bedtime).

Get Her Done - Git 'Er Dun?

Not sure how he spells it. How has no one said this to me tonight? Here's your sign? Nothing......
I was expecting more from these kids.
It is very cold outside which must be keeping the gym at a comfortable temperature. There have not been many students hanging around to escape the heat in the gym. I was looking through the pictures and I saw a bear's head. This is an odd night indeed.
By the way - my favorite "redneck" movie is Roadhouse. I love this Patrick Swaze classic. "pain don't hurt." He was a great philosopher.
This is the last fundraiser for the Class of 2014. The next big event for the seniors will be the senior trip. I know many of them are looking forward to that. It is always a highlight.

Big Tree

The plan was to get a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Instead the kids brought a monster sized tree. I am not sure how they got the tree in the gym in the first place. I think there is a picture of the monster in this new set of pictures from Mrs. Gardiner.

Mrs. Gadiner's Pictures

Mrs. Gardiner has joined the fray. She is taking pictures tonight as well. As you can see there are a few boys who decided to go with a shirt and tie tonight. I think they are the ones with the dates. I cannot imagine some of the girls would let their men dress in flannel while they have new hair and new dress and shoes.

One of my favorites

I thought I would link one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Tongue on a flagpole

posted Dec 13, 2013, 5:45 PM by Arlington Trombley   [ updated Dec 13, 2013, 5:45 PM ]

Why did I title this post with that? You know why. A holiday tradition is watching the classic movie where a young man gets his tongue stuck on a flagpole. This has nothing to do with the dance tonight but Mr. Goggins mentioned the movie and I thought it might just happen at a redneck dance. There are some more pictures here from Mrs. Trombley. She is my only roving photographer tonight.
