Voicing Concerns

Recently Mr. Walrath and Mrs. Stumpf traveled to Albany to meet with our state legislators. As many of you know schools are facing many challenges including shrinking budgets due to cuts and an increasing in testing. Topics such as the Common Core and New York State Modules were also discussed. Mr. Walrath showed the lawmakers a module from the new middle school ELA curriculum so they could see first hand what changes have been made. We cannot thank them both enough for making the effort to meet with state officials and voicing the concerns we all have. Despite the challenges the CCS district will continue to work hard and be successful. A supportive community and school leaders like these two make it a little easier.
