DVDs - since I have to break out all my gear to make this year's DVDs I was thinking that there might be some interest in the older ones. If you need a copy of the older musicals please let me know and I will see what I can make. Email me with your request. The cost for older musicals will be $10. I prefer cash please. I have had some bad incident with checks. If you want them mailed, please email me and we can work something out. Otherwise I will bring them to school and you can have someone pick them up then. Thanks to all who helped pitch in with pictures and the video taping. I was lucky enough to be in the pit band this year and had a a lot of fun playing with such talented musicians.

Video DVDs will be made available for sale for $15.00 each shortly after the weekend's performance.  I am also going to offer Blu-Ray if there is enough interest for $25.00 each. Grease Was the Word

Another successful musical weekend has come and gone and once again CCS put on a stellar show. There are so many people to thank for the success of this production that to try and post a list means someone will be left out. But the success starts from the top and the leadership provided by Mr. and Mrs. Breault, Mrs. Nemier-Green, Mr. Duffer and Mrs. Locklin. Unless you have had a child participate in the performance before you cannot imagine the amount of time that goes into putting together a high school musical. And those 5 put in twice as many hours.

As always I heard many wonderful comments as people left the auditorium. I had one person say it was wonderful to be taken back to the 40s and 50s by the costumes, the dialog and the music. The choreography left all in attendance amazed. To have so many students working together to produce those big dances was truly amazing. It was one of the most energetic performances CCS has presented. Every year I hear that this was the best musical yet. I heard it every year for the past 10 seasons. It is the effort put forth every year that makes the next one even better. Everyone who has been part of the CCS musical history has helped make the subsequent ones better and better.

It was a weekend full of laughs, great singing, wonderful costumes and so much more but the one comment I heard the most is that the students on stage really seemed like they were having fun and enjoying themselves. Their smiles made the audience smile. I saw lots of toe tapping, heads bopping but most of all I saw people leaving smiling and excited. The enthusiasm was indeed passed on from performer to audience member.

Video clips will be posted to YouTube soon, The entire show will NOT be posted. Please see the note about ordering DVDs or Blu-rays. Pictures will be uploaded very soon. Mr. Green took THOUSANDS of pictures (as did I) and we are editing them a little so we do not overwhelm you. Please be patient. We should have it all online soon.

Did you miss the performances? Seriously? They we simply amazing. And it seemed like each one was better than the one that came before. Congratulations to everyone involved. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Breault, Mrs. Nemier-Green and Mrs. Loclin for their leadership. Thanks as well to all the performers, the stage crew, the pit band, the folks who sold flowers and snacks and the little souvenir dogs. It takes many hands to make a great show but the heavy lifting was handled by the directors and the performers. Once again I heard many wonderful comments from the audience as they exited the auditorium. People are amazed that every year the younger students step up and some new-comers make their presence felt. Even though we lose talented seniors it seems like there are many ready, willing and able people ready to take over. There are MANY pictures for you. Mr. Green took over 700 pictures from two performances. Not only did he capture some great moments on stage, but he took time to get some behind the scenes looks. Check out the hard work from the stage crew - the concentration of the pit band - the dedication of the people selling snacks, flowers and more - and (my favorite) the pure joy of Mr. Breault leading it all from conductor's chair. I also added a few pictures I took from the final run through Wednesday evening. YouTube videos are being uploaded throughout the day and should be ready later Monday night. (I have to label them)
When the dust settled on the performance Sunday afternoon many people helped to pack away the musical. Thanks to those people as well. Costumes were packed away. Scenery was pulled apart and boxed up. The instruments and the pit band was cleaned out. Within two hours it looked like nothing happened. But those who were in the crowd know that something special indeed happened. And, I suspect, that special something will happen once again next year. For now though,I am still waiting for that sun Annie kept singing about.
Thanks again to everyone who made the weekend so special.

News about ordering a DVD will be posted soon. Thank you for your patience.

From Producer Mrs. Nemier-Green - "We are very excited about this year's musical Annie. The students are working incredibly hard and cannot to share this wonderful production with everyone. We would like to ask people to take note that this year's evening performances will be one hour earlier than in previous years, beginning at 6:00PM instead of 7:00PM. We hope this allow more families to attend this child-friendly production. We would also like to announce that there will small "Sandy" stuffed dogs available for purchase at each show. These stuffed animals will be on sale for $6. Finally, we would like to offer everyone the opportunity to pre-order their very own musical t-shirt. This year's t-shirts will be red and feature the classic Annie logo. If you would like to order a shirt, please contact Megan Nemier-Green at CCS either by phone (497-6611 ext. 2202) or by email (ccs_musical@hotmail.com or mnemier@mail.fehb.org). Orders must be received by Friday, March 7th. Thank you to everyone for their continued support in our musical. Our program would never be as successful without this wonderful community behind us. We will see everyone at the show!"
