The HPV vaccine  

Cervarix and Gardasil are the vaccines to prevent the HPV types that cause most cervical and anal cancers. 

Gardasil is the only one that has been licensed and tested for use in males and females. It also prevents vulvar and vaginal cancer in females and genital warts in both males and females. 

Gardasil is a 3 dose series given to males and females starting at age 11 through age 26.

It is important to start HPV vaccine before they are exposed to HPV.
