From Mrs. LaVoie - The Franklin Academy boys and girls track & field teams remained unbeaten both FA teams swept the NAC tri-meet against OFA and Salmon River on Thursday and improve to 7-0 on the season.
 
Highlights from the home track meet held that was held on Thursday evening. The FA boys took first place in nine of the 16 events and had four 1-2-3 finishes to earn more points toward the double victory. The Huskies opened the meet with a win in the 4x800-meter relay race, with the quartet of Josh Bordeaux, Will Bronner, Mike Campbell and Bailey Fellion crossing the line in nine minutes, 43.10 seconds.
 
Dylan Lavoie placed 1st in the 3200-meter race and finished ahead of Marlow by eight seconds with a time of 10:42.70
 
From the Malone Telegram – “Well, it wasn't quite a photo finish, but as close to one as they could make it. Franklin Academy teammates, Dylan LaVoie (left) and Mitchell Marlow cross the finish line a mere two-tenths of a second apart in the 1500-meter race on Thursday at Malone's Crowner Field. Marlow won the race in 4:49.10 with LaVoie (a Chateaugay student) following with a time of 4:49.30. The two runners would switch finishing positions at the conclusion of the 3200-meter run, with LaVoie breaking the tape in 10:42.70 and Marlow following with a time of 10:50.70.”
 
Annie Campbell, Karlee Martin and Brandon Lavoie are also having a great season so far.
